About Guessit.io
Guessit.io is a collection of fun guessing games where you test your knowledge across different categories.
Each game challenges you to estimate numbers, from Lego piece counts to distances between cities.
The closer your guess, the more points you score :D
The site is designed, written and maintained by one independent developer, TheAtilaDev. Every question list
is put together by hand, checked against public sources and expanded regularly with new items.
There are no accounts, no paywalls and nothing to install. Ads help cover the cost of running the site.
The games
- Guess The Weight: hundreds of animals, objects, vehicles and landmarks. How heavy is each one, in grams?
- Guess The Pieces: more than 200 real LEGO® sets. How many pieces are in the box?
- Guess The Words: about 100 famous songs from around the world. How many words are in the lyrics?
- Guess The Distance: 100 pairs of world cities. How many kilometres apart are they?
How to Play
- Choose a game mode from the menu.
- Read the clue and enter your best guess!
- Points are awarded based on how close your guess is, the closer, the better :)
- A perfect guess earns the maximum 1000 points.
Scoring is based on how far off you are in percent, so small and large answers are judged fairly.
The full formula and some strategy are explained in
How to Get Better at Estimation Games.
Where the data comes from
- Weights: typical published values from encyclopedias, manufacturer specifications and natural history references.

- Songs: word counts from the full published lyrics. Videos are embedded from YouTube.
- Distances: straight-line (great-circle) distances between city centres.
- Images: weight and city pictures come from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons and belong to their authors.
